59A-3.248, F.A.C., Pediatric Cardiac Programs

On February 27, 2020, the Agency conducted a rule workshop for Rule 59A-3.248, F.A.C. entitled Pediatric Cardiac Programs. This rule is within Chapter 59A-3, F.A.C., Hospital Licensure. The Agency has extended the comment period regarding this rulemaking through March 31, 2020. The Agency will consider comments received during the workshop’s comment period and may revise the draft language based on the comments received.  

The next stage of the rulemaking process is to conduct an additional rule workshop or move forward with publishing a notice of proposed rule.  The notice of workshop or notice of proposed rule will be published in the Florida Administrative Register (FAR).

Rules Within Chapter 59A-3, F.A.C., Hospital Licensure

On February 27, 3030, the Agency conducted a rule hearing for Rules 59A-3.065, 59A-3.066, 59A-3.242, 59A-3.246, 59A-3.249, and 59A-3.278, F.A.C.  The Agency has extended the comment period regarding this rulemaking through March 31, 2020.  The Agency will consider comments received during the hearing’s comment period and may revise the draft language based on the comments received. 

The Agency anticipates the next stage of the rulemaking process will be to conduct an additional rule hearing or move forward with publishing a notice of change.  The notice of hearing or notice of change will be published in the Florida Administrative Register (FAR).
