Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury

The purpose of the Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury Waiver program is to maintain and promote the health of individuals with traumatic brain injuries or spinal cord injuries through the provision of needed supports and services in order to delay and prevent institutionalization.  The goal of the program is to enable recipients to choose and receive services in their home or in the community.

Medicaid reimburses for the following waiver services:

The Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury Waiver is a fee-for-service program and is not offered by health plans serving Medicaid enrollees.
