AHCA DASHBOARD INTRODUCTION

Governor Crist mandated in Executive Order 07-01 that each state agency create a metrics “dashboard” in order to objectively evaluate its performance. The initial version of the dashboard of the Agency for Health Care Administration shows the critical measures of the Agency’s Medicaid and Health Quality Assurance Divisions.

The performance gauge on the initial screen is an average of all the Agency performance measures. A mouse-click of the buttons on the right-hand side of the screen will offer more specific gauges related to one of the two Divisions: Health Quality Assurance or Medicaid. The gauges can be sorted by degree of conformity with Agency-set standards by clicking on the Warning, Watch and Good buttons at the top of the column. At the bottom-right of each gauge is a link that will provide the data source for the gauge. A glossary of terms is available by clicking on the tab at the top-right of the screen. By placing your mouse cursor on any gauge, you can read a description of the performance measure that appears in the text box. Such text boxes offer voice messaging to make the dashboard a tool that visually-impaired Floridians can use. All data presented in the gauges are based upon the latest information available to the Agency.

The Agency will continue to expand the dashboard by adding performance measures from other areas of the Agency. The Agency wants to know what you think of its dashboard. Please forward your comments and suggestions to the Agency webmaster.
