Florida Medicaid Access to Specialty Care

Limited access to specialty health care is a growing issue that has been recognized nationwide. The Agency for Health Care Administration established a team of dedicated employees and will implement initiatives to proactive ly address this issue for Florida Medicaid beneficiaries.

One of those initiatives was the Access to Specialty Care Summit, held at the Marriott Tampa Westshore in Tampa, Florida, on November 2, 2007.  The purpose of the Summit was to gather input from Florida's specialty health care providers, related to how we should approach this issue of limited access to specialty health care.

Over 125 attendees provided valuable input at the half-day Summit on how the Agency can help improve access to specialty health care services.

A link below will take you to a brochure of the Summit.
