Ralph Glatfelter
Sr. Vice President
Florida Hospital Association

Ralph Glatfelter was born and raised in the Orlando area and graduated from the University of Florida. Glatfelter began his professional career representing Attorney General Robert Shevin in his legislative office. He was appointed by Shevin to serve as the Executive Director of the Florida Drug Abuse Prevention and Education Trust, a non-profit organization devoted to training counselors and community leaders in drug abuse prevention.

Ralph Glatfelter's hospital career began when he served as Director of Planning and Development for University Hospital in Pensacola. He next served as the Director of Information for the state's Health Care Cost Containment Board. In 1983, he joined the Florida League of Health Systems, where he was appointed President and CEO in 1986. Glatfelter worked for the League for 18 years prior to joining the Florida Hospital Association as Senior Vice President following the merger of the three state hospital associations.

Ralph Glatfelter is one of the senior lobbyists with the Florida Hospital Association and represents Florida's hospitals on regulatory issues such as CON and reimbursement issues including HMO payments, workers compensation and other non-government payers.
