Florida PERM Latest Update

According to the newest instructions released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the timeframe for submitting requested supporting documentation, such as medical records, is now 60 days instead of the previously specified 90 days.  This change in the submission time-frame is required to allow PERM states adequate time to review with the federal contractor, internally, or with the providers, those claims that have been determined by the federal contractor to be in error.

Therefore, all PERM related requests by Livanta, the PERM Data/Documentation Contractor (DDC), for supporting documentation such as medical records, must be complied with in no more than 60 days.  Failure to comply within the 60-day period will result in the associated claims being identified as paid in error, and subject to recoupment efforts by the State.
