Choice Counseling and Other Beneficiary Information

Medicaid has specially trained people to answer questions and help beneficiaries enroll in the health plan that best fits their needs. These people are called choice counselors and they provide services free of change. Beneficiaries can speak with a choice counselor by phone or meet with a choice counselor face-to-face (see face-to-face schedule listed below). To speak with a choice counselor, call:

1-866-454-3959

TDD 1-866-467-4970

Monday – Friday: 8:00 am to 7:00 pm

Saturday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Medicaid choice counseling also has a website with more information: http://www.flmedicaidreform.com

Medicaid Reform Training for Beneficiaries

Beginning in July 2007, there will be changes to Florida Medicaid in Baker, Clay, and Nassau Counties. These changes are needed to better meet the health care needs of Florida Medicaid beneficiaries. These changes are called “Medicaid Reform”. In Baker, Clay, and Nassau, beginning in April 2007, the local Medicaid office will be offering training meetings on these changes. If you would like to attend one of these meetings, please click on the link below and you will be guided to a site where you can sign up.
