Medicaid Finance

This office is responsible for fiscal and budget planning, data analysis and forecasting, and setting rates for providers who are reimbursed on a cost basis.

This office manages the contract for the fiscal agent to maintain the Florida Medicaid Management Information System (FMMIS), enroll providers, and process claims for payment. In addition, Contract Management oversees claims resolution policies, provider enrollment policies, and resolves Medicaid recipient eligibility file problems on FMMIS.

Medicaid's Quality Management Office conducts in-depth studies of issues related to Medicaid and health care. It tracks program performance and prepares a variety of reports on Medicaid services, demonstration projects, and projected needs. It also provides recommendations for future action within the Agency.
