LICENSURE

The State of Florida, Agency for Health Care Administration, administers the program of licensing Health Care Risk Managers which was transferred from the Department of Insurance effective January 1, 1999 pursuant to Sections 395.10971-.10975, F.S. and Sections 59A-10.031-.037, F.A.C. Public information on Licensed Risk Managers may be accessed by using the search tool linked below. Forms and instructions for licensure as well as information on approved education providers may be downloaded from the list below.

Background Screening

Florida Department of Law Enforcement and FBI fingerprinting must be completed by each applicant every five years. Please call the Risk Management program office at (850) 487-2717 if you need a fingerprint card.  For additional information regarding background screening requirements that must be submitted with your application, go to the background screening section of this web site.
