Diagnostic Imaging Centers

In accordance with Section 456.053, Florida Statutes, all group practices and sole providers are required to report annually to the Agency for Health Care Administration if they accept outside referrals for diagnostic imaging services. The Legislature lists the following as diagnostic imaging services:

  • Magnetic resonance imaging
  • Nuclear medicine
  • Angiography
  • Arteriography
  • Position emission tomography
  • Digital vascular imaging
  • Bronchography
  • Lymphangiography
  • Splenography
  • Ultrasound
  • EEG
  • EKG
  • Nerve conduction studies
  • Evoked potentials
  • Compted tomography

Please Note: Effective March 1, 2004, all health care clinics as specified in the "Health Care Clinic Act," ss. 400.990-.995, F.S., are required to be licensed by the Agency for Health Care Administration.
